We are living in a time of intense nostalgia (in an already nostalgic culture). Everything is about the “remix.” People feel comfortable in this brave new world and century seeing something that feels familiar. But in ANY art historical time period 98% of artists were hacks or just not very good.

Art education is a way to pay for something that is, in most societies, given for free: a community of mutual interests.
the search for the extraordinary is in my view common experience, or the lives of people, and the beauty and ordinariness of life has. The more “art” keeps with itself, the less it connects with people. Yet the less it connects with people, the more valuable it becomes!!!
